A turbo cartridge, also known as a CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly), is the central component of a turbocharger. It includes the turbine wheel, compressor wheel, and the bearing system housed in a single unit. The CHRA is responsible for converting exhaust gas energy into rotational force, which compresses the intake air to boost engine performance.
